DEGREES OFFEREDMaster ProgramThe Master's degree programs are designed to further a student's undergraduate training, providing professional skills for church- related ministries not leading ordination. Besides the Master of Christian Counseling, World Trinity America Theological University offers Masters degrees in Christian Education, Missiology, and Church Music. The curriculum is selective and representative of those areas generally thought to be essential for effective Christian ministry. The primary purpose of the Master of Christian Education is to equip motivate students to become competent leaders in the educational ministries of churches. This degree is the foundational degree for one preparing for ministry in Christian Education, Objectives of the program seek to encourage the student to develop skills for the performance of ministry and to strive for personal excellence in pursuing a ministry in Christian Education. World Trinity America Theological University has a deep and growing commitment to the ministry of Christian Counseling. Based on the Christian conviction that Biblical revelation must shape both counseling processes and counseling methods, the progress of counseling students has been established to help students integrate psychological data into a thoroughly Biblical understanding of human need and divine resources, This program of Christian Counseling is designed for non-pastoral students preparing for ministry on church staff as well as those preparing for professional counseling ministries. The Master of Missiology is service degree designed for missionary practitioners on furlough or leave of absence who desire mid-career training in order to develop more effective skills for fulfilling the great commission It is also intended for those who wish to prepare for an initial assignment in missionary service. In keeping with this commitment, the Master of Missiology degree required a total 32 credit hours in the major. The Master of Church Music is a professional graduate degree for those who plan to serve in the music ministry of churches. The course requirements are designed to help the student develop a maximum level of proficiency in performance, a comprehensive knowledge of church music, including music, theory, history, education and an understanding of the theological context of church music. To be admitted into this program, the student must have a Bachelor of Music or equivalent from an accredited institution. CORE COURSESIn addition to the 32 hour requirement for Masters degree all students with secular college degrees must take the following 16 credit hours.
